Location: Just inside the north west border of the Lake District National Park, close to Crummock Water.

Length: Just over 1mile.

This is one of the smaller of the lakes and not visited to the extent that it should be, though to be fair it doesn't compare to its close neighbours Crummock Water and Buttermere.

Walks:

The road runs close above the northern shore and is not busy, making it pleasant to walk along. Alternatively there are footpaths overlooking the valley and lake. The higher of the two is better for views: the other passes through a wood.
